Deputy PM Calls for Enhanced Cooperation in Sustainable Development with Denmark

Hanoi: Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son has emphasised the need for enhanced cooperation in sustainable development with Denmark, praising the European country as one of the world’s leading nations in this field. Son hosted a reception for Lina Hansen, State Secretary for Trade and Investments at Denmark’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and representatives of major Danish companies on the sidelines of the 4th Partnership for Green Growth and the Global Goals 2030 (P4G) Summit in Hanoi on April 16.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Deputy Prime Minister underscored the importance of collaborating with Denmark to achieve mutual goals in sustainable development. He highlighted Denmark’s expertise and leadership in this sector, expressing hope that the partnership would yield significant benefits for both nations.

During the reception, Son and Hansen discussed various strategies to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in renewable energy and technological innovation. The meeting also served as a platform for Danish companies to explore potential investment opportunities in Vietnam, further strengthening economic ties between the two countries.

The P4G Summit, which serves as a global forum for advancing green growth and sustainability, provided a fitting backdrop for these discussions, reinforcing the commitment of both Vietnam and Denmark to global sustainable development goals.
