Deputy PM Promotes Closer Vietnam-Japan Cooperation During Tokyo Visit

Tokyo: Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau called on Vietnam and Japan to strengthen political trust and enhance bilateral cooperation mechanisms, including the Vietnam-Japan Cooperation Committee, while working towards the successful organisation of the second Vietnam-Japan Local Cooperation Forum in Hue City in 2026.

According to Vietnam News Agency, during his visit to Tokyo, Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau emphasized the importance of bolstering political trust between the two nations. He highlighted the need to enhance existing bilateral cooperation mechanisms, such as the Vietnam-Japan Cooperation Committee, to facilitate more robust partnerships.

Furthermore, Deputy PM Le Tien Chau proposed collaborative efforts to ensure the success of the upcoming second Vietnam-Japan Local Cooperation Forum, scheduled to be held in Hue City in 2026. This forum is expected to play a crucial role in deepening local-level cooperation and fostering mutual understanding between the two countries.
