ASEAN Future Forum Concludes, Highlighting Regional Collaboration and Development

Hanoi: The third ASEAN Future Forum (AFF), under the theme 'Shaping Our Future Together: Peace, Prosperity and People-Centred,' concluded in Hanoi on June 10 after two days of in-depth discussions. The event featured three key discussion sessions that focused on ASEAN-US cooperation, strategies to ensure energy security, and accelerating the green transition in the region, as well as identifying new development models amid global transformations. AFF 2026 attracted more than 1,200 participants, including senior leaders, policymakers, experts, scholars, representatives of international organizations, businesses, and youth delegates.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the forum provided a platform for diverse voices to contribute to shaping the future of the ASEAN region. Discussions emphasized the importance of collaboration between ASEAN and the United States, particularly in addressing pressing energy concerns and promoting sustainable development. The focus on energy security and green transition reflects the region's commitment to environmental sustainability and economic resilience.

Participants also explored new development models that could better adapt to the rapidly changing global landscape. The forum's record turnout highlighted the growing interest and involvement of various stakeholders in shaping ASEAN's future, reinforcing the importance of dialogue and cooperation in regional development efforts.
