Hanoi: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son hosted a reception in Hanoi for Cuba’s First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Gerardo Penalver Portal. The Cuban official is visiting Vietnam from July 22 to 25 for a political consultation.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the First Deputy FM of Cuba will co-chair the 8th political consultation between the two foreign ministries. During his visit, he is also scheduled to hold meetings with leaders of the National Assembly’s Committee on National Defence, Security and External Relations, and the Ministry of Construction, which serves as the standing body of the Vietnam – Cuba Intergovernmental Committee. Furthermore, he will explore several economic, cultural, social, and historical institutions in Hanoi.
