Dakar: President of the Senegalese National Assembly El Malick Ndiaye hosted an official welcome ceremony for the Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the high-level Vietnamese delegation in Dakar. The event took place on the morning of July 23, featuring a military band that played the national anthems of both nations, followed by a review of the guard of honour by the two parliamentary leaders.

According to Vietnam News Agency, immediately after the welcome ceremony, NA Chairman Man held a meeting with the Senegalese NA President. This visit marks a significant moment as it is the first official visit to Senegal by a key Vietnamese leader since the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries nearly six decades ago.
