Hanoi: Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh hosted a reception in Hanoi for Dr. Marcin Czepelak, Secretary-General of the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA), seeking its technical and personnel support for the country’s International Arbitration Centre (IAC) slated to become operational as early as this month.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting underscored Vietnam’s commitment to strengthening its arbitration capabilities by leveraging the expertise of the PCA. Deputy PM Binh emphasized the importance of international cooperation in establishing an effective arbitration framework that aligns with global standards. The collaboration is expected to facilitate the development of the IAC, enhancing its ability to manage international arbitration cases efficiently.
Dr. Czepelak expressed the PCA’s willingness to provide the necessary support, acknowledging the strategic importance of Vietnam’s efforts to bolster its arbitration infrastructure. The PCA’s involvement is anticipated to bring significant advantages to the IAC, including access to a network of seasoned arbitration professionals and technical resources.
