Hanoi: The ‘AI Vietnam Academy’ model should be quickly replicated across the country, requested Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung while attending the launch ceremony of the ‘AI Vietnam Academy’ programme at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) on the morning of August 21. The programme is the result of cooperation between the Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC), HUST, and the US-based tech giant NVIDIA, aiming to implement the cooperation agreement signed between the Vietnamese Government and NVIDIA. HUST aims to train at least 2,000 learners in its first year, including both students and professionals. This number is expected to expand to 6,000 in the second year and reach between 8,000 and 10,000 learners by the third year.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the initiative seeks to significantly enhance Vietnam’s capabilities in the field of artificial intelligence by equipping individuals with essential AI skills. The collaboration with NVIDIA is a strategic move to leverage advanced technology and expertise, ensuring that Vietnam remains competitive in the rapidly evolving tech landscape. The programme’s rapid expansion targets reflect a strong commitment to developing a skilled workforce capable of meeting both current and future demands in AI technology.
