Vietnam to Develop National Branding for APEC 2027: Deputy PM

Hanoi: Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son has called for strengthened communication efforts and the early development of Vietnam’s APEC national branding. This initiative was discussed while he chaired the first plenary session of the National Committee for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) activities in 2027, held in Hanoi on August 21. In his opening remarks, Son, who serves as the Chairman of the National Committee, emphasized that hosting the APEC Year is a critical political and diplomatic task. It provides Vietnam with a platform to demonstrate its role, responsibility, and strategic position in the economy and trade amidst the evolving international economic order.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the second plenary session is planned for December, where progress will be reviewed and preparations will commence for work in 2026.
