Digitisation of Oc Eo Artefacts Expands Public Access in An Giang

An giang: The Mekong Delta province of An Giang is pushing forward with the digitisation of its cultural and museum activities concerning the Oc Eo Civilisation. This initiative seeks to expand public access, enhance visitor experiences, and promote the heritage of one of Southeast Asia's earliest civilisations to both domestic and international audiences. Currently, over 3,350 original artefacts are on display, most of which have been digitised using QR codes. According to Vietnam News Agency, the Oc Eo-Ba The archaeological site, recognized as a special national relic in 2012, stands as a crucial testimony to the Oc Eo Civilisation. This civilisation thrived in southern Vietnam from the 1st to the 7th centuries, and the digitisation project aims to preserve and share its rich history with a broader audience.
