DONG TRIEU: The newly-established city of Dong Trieu is positioning itself as a promising investment destination in northern Vietnam, following its elevation from township status to Quang Ninh province’s fifth city on November 1 last year. Strategically located as the western gateway to Quang Ninh province, Dong Trieu sits at the center of a dynamic development triangle, offering strong connectivity with Red River Delta localities. According to Vietnam News Agency, the Dong Trieu 1 industrial park, which spans over 200 hectares, is currently awaiting approval from the Ministry of Planning and Investment. This development underscores the city’s commitment to expanding its industrial sector. Additionally, approximately 1,200 hectares have been designated for the planned Dong Trieu 2 industrial park, further highlighting the city’s ambition to establish itself as a significant industrial hub in the region.
