EVN Orders Stable Power Supply as Heat Intensifies

Hanoi: Vietnam Electricity (EVN) has directed its regional power corporations to roll out a coordinated package of measures to maintain safe, stable supply while bolstering customer service and pushing energy conservation as temperatures soar. Power companies must carry out regular grid inspections and maintenance to keep operations safe and efficient, minimise localised overloads and reduce the risk of supply disrupting incidents.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the directive comes amid rising temperatures, which have led to increased demand for electricity, putting additional pressure on the power grid. EVN's initiative focuses on ensuring that the power supply remains uninterrupted and reliable during this period of heightened demand. The emphasis on energy conservation also aims to encourage consumers to use electricity judiciously, reducing overall strain on the system.
