Hanoi: Vietnam's newly elected 16th National Assembly (NA) commenced its first session in the capital city of Hanoi on April 6, initiating a new legislative term with a comprehensive agenda of reports and organisational decisions. The session is planned to extend over approximately 11 working days and will be conducted in two phases, from April 6 to 12 and from April 20 to 23, with the possibility of extending to April 24 and 25 if necessary.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the agenda for the session includes reviewing and discussing several critical reports that will shape the legislative priorities for the term. The assembly will also focus on making key organisational decisions that are essential for the functioning and governance of the new legislature. The structured schedule is designed to ensure thorough deliberation and effective decision-making throughout the session.
