Fishermen in Nghe An Brave Cold Weather to Meet Year-End Seafood Demand

Nghe an: Despite the sharp drop in temperature and unfavourable cold weather, fishermen in Nghe An province remain steadfast at sea, venturing out to harvest seafood to supply the year-end market. Dien Chau commune (Nghe An province) has nearly 500 fishing boats belonging to fishermen from coastal villages, whose economy is purely based on fishing. According to Vietnam News Agency, due to the high demand for seafood in and outside the commune during the Tet holiday season, and the good prices for seafood, fishermen have proactively taken measures to protect themselves from the cold and ensure their health while working and fishing at sea, increasing the frequency and number of trips out to sea.
