Hanoi:The Ministry of National Defence organized a ceremony to announce the deployment of four officers from the Vietnam People's Army to United Nations peacekeeping operations.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the event took place on October 1 in Hanoi, where the President and the Minister of National Defence's decisions regarding the officers' assignments were formally presented.

Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Dao, who serves as the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the VPA and the Deputy Head of the Ministry of National Defence's Steering Committee for Participation in UN Peacekeeping Operations, led the ceremony.
