Fuel Price Governance Must Balance Interests of State, Businesses, People: PM

Hanoi: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has directed authorities to govern petrol and oil prices in a way that ensures balanced interests among the State, businesses, and consumers while maintaining stable fuel supply and preventing market disruptions. This directive was made during a meeting of permanent Government members in Hanoi on March 16, aimed at reviewing measures to secure supply and stabilize fuel prices amid the complex developments of the Middle East conflict. According to Vietnam News Agency, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining a stable supply of fuel to avoid potential disruptions in the market. The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has raised concerns about the global fuel supply, necessitating careful management to safeguard the country's economy and the interests of all stakeholders involved. The meeting underscored the need for a strategic approach in handling fuel prices, balancing the economic needs of the State with those of businesses and consumers. By doing so , the government aims to ensure that any fluctuations in global markets do not adversely affect domestic stability and economic growth.
