Geneva: Gender equality has always been regarded by the Party and State of Vietnam as a consistent objective throughout the country's development process, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Thi Ha stated at the dialogue session on the country's ninth national report on the implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), held in Geneva on February 3. She affirmed that Vietnam has put in place a comprehensive and coherent policy framework to encourage and create the most favourable conditions for women to fully exercise equal rights in political, economic, cultural, and social spheres.
According to Vietnam News Agency, Deputy Minister Ha emphasized Vietnam's commitment to gender equality as a fundamental goal, asserting that the nation has consistently worked to integrate these principles into its broader development strategy. She highlighted Vietnam's dedication to ensuring that women have equal opportunities and access to resources across all sectors of society.
