Gia lai: Steering Committee 515 of central Gia Lai province recently organized a send-off ceremony for the K52 search team, tasked with traveling to Cambodia to locate and repatriate the remains of Vietnamese soldiers and experts who perished during wartime. This mission is set to take place during the 2025-2026 dry season. The preparations for this year’s mission have been meticulously planned and executed.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the K52 search team has been thoroughly organized and strengthened, focusing on selecting experienced officers and soldiers as core members. These team members are not only familiar with the geographical and historical intricacies of the search area but also possess fluency in Khmer, which is critical for efficient communication and operation in Cambodia. The deployment underscores a continued commitment to honoring and bringing home those who sacrificed their lives during the conflict.
