Great National Unity Festival Held Abroad for First Time

Fukuoka: The Consulate General of Vietnam in Fukuoka, Japan, in coordination with the Association of Vietnamese in Fukuoka (AVF), organised a great national unity festival and the Vietnamese community sports festival in Kyushu on November 16, on the occasion of the 95th traditional day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF).

According to Vietnam News Agency, this event marked the first time the festival was celebrated outside Vietnam, highlighting the importance of fostering unity among Vietnamese expatriates. The festival included a variety of activities that aimed to strengthen the bonds within the Vietnamese community abroad, while also promoting cultural exchange and mutual understanding between Vietnamese people and Japanese residents in the region.

The sports festival featured numerous traditional games and competitions, encouraging participation from all age groups within the community. The event served as a platform for Vietnamese expatriates to connect with one another, share their cultural heritage, and celebrate their national identity.

The significance of holding the festival in Japan lies in the growing Vietnamese population in the country, which has seen significant increases in recent years. The Consulate General and AVF’s efforts to bring this festival to Kyushu not only provided a sense of home for many Vietnamese residents but also showcased the vibrant culture of Vietnam to the local Japanese community.
