Hanoi:Central streets of Hanoi have been vibrantly decorated with flags, flowers, banners, and large posters in celebration of the 72nd anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital.

According to Vietnam News Agency, displays featuring panels that recreate the momentous occasion when victorious troops marched to take over the capital in 1954 are prominently featured. These displays not only highlight a significant historical chapter but also aim to instill a sense of pride, encouraging the current generation to value peace and independence.

To commemorate the occasion, the city has organized a variety of cultural and artistic programs. A major highlight is the fireworks displays planned at Hoan Kiem Lake and West Lake on the evening of October 10, 2026, which promise to create a joyful and spirited atmosphere for both residents and visitors.
