Hanoi: As part of the Signing Ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime, also known as the Hanoi Convention, a high-level workshop was held on the afternoon of October 25, 2025, at the National Convention Center in Hanoi. The workshop was themed ‘Sharing Experiences and Best Practices in Collecting Electronic Evidence in Cryptocurrency and Money Laundering Investigations.’

According to Vietnam News Agency, the workshop focused on exchanging knowledge and strategies for gathering electronic evidence related to cryptocurrency and money laundering cases. The event brought together experts, policymakers, and law enforcement officials to discuss methodologies and tools for efficient evidence collection in these complex investigations.

Participants at the workshop shared insights on the evolving challenges posed by digital currencies and the importance of international cooperation in combating cybercrime. The discussions aimed to enhance the capacity of countries to effectively address and investigate crimes involving cryptocurrencies and illicit financial activities.

The workshop was part of a broader effort under the Hanoi Convention to strengthen global collaboration and establish comprehensive frameworks to tackle cybercrime.
