Ho Chi Minh City Pilots UAVs for Delivery Services

Hanoi: The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, in partnership with the Saigon Hi-Tech Park Management Board and technology companies Saolatek, Real-time Robotics Vietnam, and Di Dong Viet, has initiated a pilot programme utilizing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for delivery services. The initiative is part of the city's effort to integrate UAV technology into urban logistics.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the programme is designed to enhance delivery services in the city by employing UAVs, which are seen as a promising tool in smart logistics and postal services. This move is aimed at advancing e-commerce, smart cities, and high-tech public services, and is part of a broader strategy to position UAVs as a key technology sector that supports the city's innovation ecosystem.
