Hanoi: The tourism sector served about 12 million visitors during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and the April 30-May 1 holidays, marking a 14.2% increase compared to the previous year. Average room occupancy rates reached approximately 70%, with several major tourism hubs and coastal destinations exceeding 80%.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) highlighted that the consecutive holidays, spanning a total of seven days, provided favorable conditions for travel and leisure. This significantly boosted tourism demand across the nation, with most key destinations witnessing notable surges in visitor numbers.
