Harare: Over the weekend, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested criminal illegal aliens across the country, including those convicted for heinous crimes such as sexual assault of a minor, aggravated assault, attempted murder, and conspiracy to distribute fentanyl. While Americans enjoyed their weekend, the patriots of ICE worked around the clock to remove attempted murderers, pedophiles, sexual assailants, drug traffickers, and other public safety threats from our communities, said Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin. Every single day, ICE continues to supercharge our efforts to fulfill President Trump's mandate from the American people to arrest and remove illegal aliens from our country. If you are in our country illegally, we will find you, arrest you, and deport you. According to Homeland Security, the weekend's arrests included individuals with serious criminal convictions. Edison Javier Bueno-Tenempaguay from Ecuador was convicted for criminal attempt-by purposely engaging in sexual conduct and sexual assault of a minor in Bergen County, New Jersey. Jose Felix Marquez-Hernandez from El Salvador faced conviction for sexual battery with a familial or custodial victim in Broward County, Florida. In Edinburg, Texas, Nolasco Bautista-Santiago was convicted for indecency with a child. Jayron Calix-Padilla from Honduras faced conviction for indecent liberties with a child in Wilson County, North Carolina. Gerardo Toledo-Toca from Cuba was convicted for multiple charges, including sexual assault and robbery, in Carson City, Nevada. Josafa Aguiar Da Costa from Brazil was convicted for second-degree sexual assault and other charges in Suffield, Connecticut. Additional arrests included Nestor Vasquez from El Salvador, convicted for attempted murder in Franklin County, Ohio, and Dung Hoang Nguyen from Vietnam, convicted for attempted murder in Santa Clara, California. Other individuals, such as Marco Josue Dionicio-Arnulfo from Guatemala and Sergio Lopez-Leos from Mexico, were also arres ted for serious crimes including aggravated assault and attempted rape. The operation also led to the arrest of Zaul Gomez-Martinez from Mexico for aggravated battery with a firearm in Chicago, Illinois, and Singh Sukhvir from India for oral copulation with an unconscious or asleep victim in Sacramento, California. Isai Munoz-Fernandez from Mexico was arrested for conspiracy to distribute fentanyl in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Jose Almanza-Fernandez from Mexico faced multiple convictions in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Cornelio Estrada-Gonzales from Guatemala was convicted for charges including forgery and driving while intoxicated in Prince William, Virginia. These arrests highlight the ongoing efforts by ICE to remove individuals posing significant threats to public safety.
