Hanoi: Vietnam welcomed nearly 12.3 million international visitors in the first six months of 2026, marking a 14.9% increase compared to the same period last year. This growth trend puts the country's tourism sector on track to achieve its goal of attracting 25 million foreign tourists by the end of the year.
According to Vietnam News Agency, China remained the largest source market for international arrivals in Vietnam, with 2.7 million visitors. The Republic of Korea followed closely with 2.16 million visitors. Combined, these two countries accounted for approximately 40% of the total international arrivals to Vietnam, highlighting their significant contribution to the growth of the country's tourism industry.
