Japanese Maritime Self-Defence Force Destroyer Visits Da Nang

Da nang: The Japanese Maritime Self-Defence Force (JMSDF)'s destroyer JS Asahi arrived at Tien Sa Port for a four-day goodwill visit in Da Nang. The vessel, which is carrying over 200 officers and crew members, is under the command of Colonel Jio Takemasa, Commander of JMSDF Escort Flotilla Two.

According to Vietnam News Agency, during the visit, the ship's commanding officers are scheduled to pay courtesy calls on the leaders of the Da Nang People's Committee and the Naval Region 3 Command. The visit will also include professional exchanges and sports activities with officers of the Vietnam People's Navy. Additionally, a reception will be hosted on board the JS Asahi, and the crew will have the opportunity to explore several local cultural and tourist sites.
