Vietnam, Mexico Promote Practical, Sustainable Agricultural Cooperation

Mexico city: A delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, led by Deputy Minister Tran Thanh Nam, is paying a working visit to Mexico from April 1-4. During the visit, the delegation held working sessions with leaders of Mexico's Secretariat of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology (COMCE), and the National Institute of Forestry, Agriculture and Livestock Research (INIFAP). They also conducted field visits to study modern agricultural production models in the country.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the discussions aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector, focusing on practical and sustainable practices. Both nations are exploring opportunities to exchange knowledge and technologies to improve agricultural production and address challenges like climate change and food security. The Vietnamese delegation's field visits are part of efforts to identify successful agricultural practices in Mexico that can be adapted and implemented in Vietnam.

The visit underscores the commitment of Vietnam and Mexico to strengthening their partnership in agriculture, a vital sector for both economies. By working together, the two countries aim to foster innovation and sustainability in agricultural practices, contributing to the well-being of their populations and promoting economic growth.
