Vientiane:As Vietnam and Laos gear up to celebrate the 65th anniversary of their diplomatic relations and the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation, a senior Lao official has expressed the enduring significance of the bilateral ties. Khamphan Pheuiyavong, a Politburo member and Head of the Commission for Propaganda and Training of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee, emphasized the exceptional value of the Vietnam-Laos relationship in a media interview on October 28.

According to Vietnam News Agency, Pheuiyavong described the relationship between the two nations as a shining example of proletarian international solidarity and a unique model of unwavering loyalty in international relations. He highlighted that this bond has become an invaluable legacy that continues to thrive and should serve as an inspiration for future generations.

The upcoming commemorations in 2027, which include the Vietnam-Laos and Laos-Vietnam Year of Solidarity and Friendship, will mark these significant milestones, celebrating the deep-rooted friendship and cooperation that have characterized the relationship between Vietnam and Laos.
