Hanoi: Law-making for development is fundamental, strategic, and long-term while law-making for prevention and control remains regular and important, said Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh while chairing the seventh meeting of the Government's Steering Committee for reviewing and untangling knots in the legal document system in Hanoi on January 17.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of a well-defined legal framework to facilitate national development. The meeting focused on identifying and resolving issues within the current legal document system, aiming to streamline and enhance the effectiveness of legislative processes.
During the session, Prime Minister Chinh highlighted that while development-focused law-making sets a strategic trajectory for the nation, it is equally crucial to maintain regular law-making efforts to address immediate challenges related to prevention and control. The session aimed to ensure that laws not only support long-term growth but also address current societal needs effectively.
The Steering Committee's ongoing review process is part of a broader initiative to ensure that the legal system remains responsive and robust, supporting Vietnam's socio-economic goals. The Prime Minister's remarks underscored the government's commitment to refining the legislative framework as a cornerstone for sustainable development.
