Hanoi: The Vietnam Copyright and Creativity Association, in coordination with the Vietnam Institute for Creative Development and Copyright, held a workshop in Ho Chi Minh City on August 16 to provide KOCs (Key Opinion Consumers) and KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) with practical legal knowledge on creativity and copyright in the digital space. The workshop highlighted that the rapid development of e-commerce, social media, and digital content creation is creating significant opportunities for KOCs and KOLs, while also requiring them to improve their legal knowledge and compliance.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the workshop aimed to address the challenges faced by content creators in navigating the complex legal landscape of the digital world. As digital platforms continue to evolve, understanding copyright laws and regulations becomes crucial for maintaining the integrity and originality of content. This initiative is seen as a necessary step to equip content creators with the legal tools needed to protect their work and avoid potential legal disputes.
The event underscored the importance of legal education in the digital age, particularly as content creators increasingly rely on digital platforms for their livelihoods. By fostering a greater understanding of copyright and intellectual property rights, the workshop sought to empower KOCs and KOLs to effectively leverage opportunities in the digital marketplace while safeguarding their creative outputs.
