Malaysia Treasures Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Vietnam: PM

Hanoi: Malaysia always treasures and wants to further develop its Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Vietnam in a more profound and comprehensive manner, in line with the newly established framework of relations, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim affirmed at his meeting with Vietnamese State President Luong Cuong in Hanoi on February 26. Welcoming PM Anwar, who is in Vietnam to attend the 2nd ASEAN Future Forum (AFF) 2025, President Cuong said that his trip is of significant importance as the two countries have just become Comprehensive Strategic Partners.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting between the two leaders marks a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations. Both countries are committed to enhancing cooperation across various sectors within the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which was recently established to bolster mutual interests and regional stability. The leaders emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and collaboration to address both countries’ aspirations for economic growth and development.
