Ninh Binh:Nearly 1,000 Buddhist monks, nuns, followers, and Japanese visitors gathered at the Tam Chuc national tourism site in the northern province of Ninh Binh from October 24-25 for the 2026 Vietnam-Japan Buddhist Cultural Exchange Festival. The event was themed 'Prayers beyond borders.'

According to Vietnam News Agency, the biennial festival was jointly hosted by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS), the provincial Buddhist Sangha, and Tam Chuc Pagoda. This marked the third time the festival returned to Vietnam, featuring traditional religious rituals and cultural performances from both countries.
