Markets in Hanoi Increase Goods Supply as Tet Nears

Hanoi: Traditional and wholesale markets across Hanoi are offering abundant supplies at stable prices despite increasing demands as locals are preparing for the approaching Tet (Lunar New Year) celebrations. The markets are trading hundreds of tonnes of agricultural products, seafoods, and others brought from neighboring provinces to the capital city every day, an estimated increase of 20-25% compared to ordinary days.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the surge in supply is aimed at meeting the heightened consumer demand that typically accompanies the Tet festivities. Markets are ensuring the availability of essential goods to prevent shortages and maintain price stability during this crucial period. The increase in the volume of goods traded is a significant step in catering to the needs of the residents during the holiday season.
