Tan Son Nhat Airport to Handle 4 Million Passengers During Tet

Ho Chi Minh City: Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City is gearing up to accommodate an estimated 4 million passengers during the 2025 Lunar New Year (Tet) Festival. The airport is preparing for an influx of travelers from January 14 to February 12, corresponding to the 15th day of the last month of the Year of the Dragon and the 15th day of the first month of the Year of the Snake.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the airport anticipates handling 1.5 million international passengers and 2.5 million domestic travelers during this festive period. The daily flight operations are expected to average around 800, with peak days witnessing as many as 970 flights. This period will see an increase in both flights and passenger numbers, with a projected rise of 6.25% in flights and 5.36% in passenger traffic compared to previous years.
