Nam Dinh: The merger of Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, and Ninh Binh provinces in northern Vietnam will shape up a unified development space that integrates and promotes each locality’s strength, creating a powerful and sustainable growth driver, Party General Secretary To Lam said on June 23 at a working session with the Standing Boards of the Party Committees of the three localities in Nam Dinh.

According to Vietnam News Agency, this strategic move aims to leverage the unique strengths and resources of each province, fostering economic development and cohesion within the region. The proposal is expected to enhance infrastructure, streamline administrative processes, and attract investment, thus accelerating growth across the merged territories.

The discussions at the working session highlighted the importance of collaboration between the provinces to ensure that the merger would lead to balanced and equitable development. The Party chief emphasized the need for a comprehensive plan that addresses the socio-economic needs of all three areas, ensuring that the benefits of the merger are shared among the local populations.

The initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance regional competitiveness and contribute to the national economy. By pooling resources and aligning development goals, the merger is anticipated to create a robust economic hub in northern Vietnam.
