Can Tho: National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man pledged support for the development of the Mekong Delta, with a particular focus on Can Tho city, during a meeting on April 26 with heroic Vietnamese mothers and former officials of central agencies, Military Region 9, Can Tho city, and Hau Giang province. The event took place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975-2025).

According to Vietnam News Agency, Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized the strategic importance of Can Tho city in the region’s development plans following a recent administrative merger. The chairman outlined plans to enhance infrastructure, promote economic growth, and improve living standards in the area. The meeting served as a platform to address key concerns and gather insights from experienced former officials and local representatives.
