Hanoi: National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, accompanied by his spouse Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga and a high-ranking delegation from Vietnam, departed Hanoi at noon on September 16 to attend the 46th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA-46) in Malaysia and to undertake an official visit to the country. The participation in AIPA-46 comes at the invitation of Dato’ Johari Bin Abdul, Speaker of the Malaysian House of Representatives and AIPA-46 President, while the official visit is at the invitation of Dato’ Awang Bemee Awang Ali Basah, President of the Malaysian Senate.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the official visit and participation in AIPA-46 from September 16-20 by NA Chairman Man represent an important milestone in Malaysia-Vietnam relations. This visit is particularly significant in the context of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership established between the two countries in 2024, highlighting the ongoing commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation.
