Hanoi: The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee reviewed the investment proposal for the Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong railway project during its 42nd session on the afternoon of February 10. The project is expected to significantly impact the transportation infrastructure in the region.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong railway project is projected to require approximately 2,632 hectares of land. The project will be funded through public investment, with a total estimated cost of 203.23 trillion VND, which is roughly equivalent to 8.37 billion USD.
