Vietnam, Japan Hold 11th Defence Policy Dialogue

Fukuoka: The 11th Vietnam-Japan defence policy dialogue took place in Fukuoka, Japan. The event was co-chaired by Sen. Lieut. Gen. Hoang Xuan Chien, Politburo member, member of the Standing Board of the Central Military Commission, and Deputy Minister of National Defence of Vietnam, and Kano Koji, Japan’s Vice Minister of Defence.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the dialogue aimed to strengthen bilateral defence cooperation between Vietnam and Japan. The two countries discussed various measures to enhance mutual understanding and collaboration in defence and security matters. The meeting provided a platform for both nations to reaffirm their commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region.

The dialogue also focused on increasing joint training exercises and sharing information to combat security challenges. Both sides expressed their willingness to promote defence industry cooperation and support each other in regional and international forums. The event underscored the importance of strategic partnerships in addressing global security concerns.
