Nguyen Du School Reinforces Vietnamese Language Preservation in Laos

Vientiane: The Nguyen Du Lao-Vietnamese Bilingual School in Vientiane held its 2025-2026 academic year closing ceremony on June 23, reaffirming its role in preserving and promoting the Vietnamese language and cultural identity among the Vietnamese community in Laos. Addressing the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam praised the school's achievements and described it as a leading institution for Vietnamese language education abroad. He noted that amid deeper international integration, maintaining and developing Vietnamese among overseas communities carries long-term strategic significance.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the ceremony highlighted the school's commitment to fostering Vietnamese linguistic and cultural ties within the Lao community. The Ambassador emphasized the importance of such educational institutions in sustaining cultural heritage and strengthening bilateral relations between Vietnam and Laos. The Nguyen Du School has been recognized as a pivotal platform for enhancing the understanding and appreciation of Vietnamese traditions among young Vietnamese living in Laos.
