Hanoi: Nguyen Van Quang has been elected as the Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court for the 2021-2026 tenure. With 440 out of 441 deputies present voting in favor, this decision was made by the 15th National Assembly on November 10, achieving a 92.83% approval rate from all deputies. Following the election, Quang took the oath of office, pledging absolute loyalty to the Fatherland, the people, and the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. He also committed to striving to fulfill the duties entrusted to him by the Party, the State, and the people.
According to Vietnam News Agency, Nguyen Van Quang is a member of the Party Central Committee. His election marks a significant step in the judicial leadership of Vietnam, as he assumes the role of overseeing the highest court in the country for the next five years. His commitment during the oath underscores his dedication to upholding the principles and responsibilities of his new position.
