Hanoi: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has ordered the diplomatic sector to continue its pioneering role and strongly renew its mindset and approaches in external affairs across all areas, proactively and actively deepen relations with neighbouring countries, major powers, other Southeast Asian nations, key partners, traditional friends, and potential partners to enhance trust and ensure long-term sustainability. The PM addressed a patriotic emulation congress of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the 2025-2030 period, on November 10.
According to Vietnam News Agency, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the diplomatic sector’s role in shaping the nation’s international relations strategy. He called for a significant shift in the way diplomatic efforts are conducted to ensure Vietnam remains influential and well-connected on the global stage.
The Prime Minister highlighted the necessity of building and maintaining strong relationships with a diverse array of international partners. By doing so, the country aims to foster trust and ensure long-term sustainability in its foreign relations.
Furthermore, the congress served as a platform for discussing strategies and setting goals for the upcoming years, focusing on enhancing Vietnam’s diplomatic engagements and adapting to the evolving global landscape.
