Number of Tourists Soars During National Reunification Holidays

Hanoi: Vietnam’s tourism sector experienced a significant surge, serving an estimated 10.5 million domestic and international visitors during the public holiday from April 30 to May 4. This marked a 31.2% increase compared to the same period last year.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) reported that nationwide, average occupancy rates at tourist accommodation facilities reached around 70%. During the first days of the break, these figures surpassed 80%. The rise in travel was supported by a wide array of local festivals, cultural events, and tourism programs organized across the country. These attractions not only drew more visitors but also encouraged longer stays, contributing to increased tourism revenue.
