Can tho: Four thousand-year-old artifacts belonging to the Oc Eo culture are preserved and exhibited at the museum of the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho. The objects excavated at the Nhon Thanh archaeological site include a mould set for metal jewelry creation, an intact ceramic vase, a Buddha statue carved from dark brown wood, and a Linga-Yoni set. They are evidence for the brilliant development in the lower region of Hau River (one of the two tributaries of the Mekong River) during the 1st-7th centuries.
