Over Half of Provinces Complete Replacement of Dilapidated Houses

Hanoi: As of July 27, 19 out of 34 provinces and cities, or 55.9%, have completed the replacement of temporary and dilapidated houses, according to the Ministry of Ethnic and Religious Affairs. In the past week, Ca Mau announced completion of its programme, while six other provinces Cao Bang, Phu Tho, Dien Bien, Quang Nam, Dak Lak and Gia Lai have started construction on 100% of targeted homes.

According to Vietnam News Agency, by July 27, a total of 268,470 houses had been completed or are under construction nationwide. Of these, 234,975 were completed and handed over, while 33,495 are underway.
