Party Chief Presides Over Central Military Commission’s 14th Conference

Hanoi: Party General Secretary To Lam, Secretary of the Central Military Commission, chaired the 14th conference of the Central Military Commission for the 2020-2025 tenure on June 19. The conference aimed to review military and defence tasks undertaken in the first half of 2025 and to outline the orientations for these missions and Party-building tasks in the People’s Army for the latter half of the year.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the conference served as a platform for evaluating the progress made in military and defense strategies. Discussions were centered around assessing accomplishments, identifying areas needing improvement, and setting clear directives for the upcoming months. The focus was on ensuring that the People’s Army remains aligned with the overarching goals set for the tenure.

The conference also emphasized the importance of Party-building within the military ranks. It highlighted the need for maintaining discipline, unity, and adherence to the Party’s principles. The leadership underscored the significance of these elements in strengthening the operational capabilities of the People’s Army.

The resolutions and strategies discussed in the conference are expected to guide the People’s Army through the challenges of the second half of 2025, with a continued focus on safeguarding national interests and enhancing defense readiness.
