Party Leader Calls for Decisive Mindset Shift from Administration to Development Creation

Hanoi: Party General Secretary To Lam on January 8 delivered a keynote address at a national conference reviewing the Government's performance in 2025 and outlining tasks for 2026, calling for a strong and substantive shift from a management-oriented mindset to one that actively creates development, while firmly ending buck-passing and the avoidance of responsibility. The conference was chaired by the Government and held in a hybrid format connecting the Government Headquarters with all 34 provinces and cities.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the emphasis on a mindset change is aimed at fostering a culture of accountability and proactive initiatives within the governmental framework. The conference served as a platform for assessing the achievements and challenges faced by the Government over the past year and setting a strategic direction for the future.

The call for a decisive mindset shift highlights the need for government officials to take ownership of their roles and responsibilities, engaging in practices that drive sustainable development across the nation. By focusing on development creation, the Government aims to enhance economic growth, social progress, and overall national well-being.

The hybrid format of the conference facilitated widespread participation from various provincial and city leaders, enabling a comprehensive dialogue on the implementation of effective governance strategies. The discussions underscored the importance of collaboration and shared responsibility in overcoming bureaucratic hurdles and enhancing public service delivery.
