Vientiane: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee To Lam met with Lao National Assembly (NA) Chairman Saysomphone Phomvihane in Vientiane on December 1. The meeting formed part of the Party leader’s state visit to Laos, attendance at Laos’ 50th National Day celebration, and participation in a high-level meeting between the CPV and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP).
According to Vietnam News Agency, the discussions between To Lam and Saysomphone Phomvihane were aimed at strengthening the relationship between Vietnam and Laos. This meeting was part of a series of events commemorating the 50th National Day of Laos, highlighting the longstanding ties between the two countries. The leaders discussed various aspects of bilateral cooperation and reaffirmed their commitment to mutual support in regional and international forums.
