Party Leader Outlines Strategic Directions in Meeting with Hanoi Voters

Hanoi: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee To Lam attended a meeting on February 26 between Hanoi's voters and candidates for deputies to the 16th National Assembly for the 2026-2031 term in election constituency No. 1, where he set out major strategic orientations focused on international integration, education reform, environment protection, and innovation. The election constituency No. 1 includes General Secretary Lam and four other candidates.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the meeting provided a platform for voters to engage with the candidates, who outlined their visions and commitments for the upcoming term. General Secretary Lam emphasized the importance of strengthening international relations and enhancing Vietnam's role on the global stage. He also highlighted the need for continued reforms in the education sector to foster a skilled and knowledgeable workforce.

Lam further addressed the critical issue of environmental protection, urging the adoption of sustainable practices to ensure a healthier ecosystem for future generations. Innovation was also a key component of his strategic directions, underscoring the necessity for technological advancement to drive economic growth and improve living standards.
