People-to-People, Cultural Connectivity Forms Bedrock of Vietnam-Thailand Friendship

Bangkok: People-to-people exchanges and cultural cooperation have played a vital role in strengthening the relations between Vietnam and Thailand, heard an academic seminar held at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok on July 17. The event formed part of activities marking the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties and brought together Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Pham Viet Hung, Thai scholars and lecturers, and students at Chulalongkorn University.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the seminar highlighted the importance of cultural exchanges as a means to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the two countries. The discussions underscored how shared cultural activities and educational collaborations have contributed to a stronger bilateral relationship over the past five decades.

Participants at the seminar, including both Vietnamese and Thai representatives, exchanged insights on past and future opportunities for cultural cooperation. The event aimed to further promote the longstanding ties and explore new avenues for partnership in various sectors, including education and cultural exchanges.
