People’s Councils Must Be Judged by Public Satisfaction: NA Chairman

Hanoi: A national conference of all-level People's Councils concluded in Hanoi on May 28 following a productive session aimed at outlining tasks for the 2026-2031 term. During the conference, delegates reviewed a comprehensive report detailing the performance of all-level People's Councils throughout the 2021-2026 term and the initial months of the new tenure. The discussions were enriched by insights from key figures, including Permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra, and four standing members of the municipal and provincial People's Councils.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the conference provided a platform for delegates to evaluate past performances and strategize for the future. The emphasis was placed on ensuring that People's Councils are assessed based on the satisfaction of the public, as highlighted by the National Assembly Chairman. The event underscored the importance of aligning council activities with the needs and expectations of the citizens they serve.
